AI Resources

My Favourite AI Resources for Educators

This is a list of resources to check out in the world of AI in Education. These items are curated by me and include only the items I have found interesting or useful. I will do my best to keep this up to date - but feel free to use the following prompt to generate more items for yourself:

"generate a list of recommended AI tools, resources, and further readings for continued professional growth in the field of teaching and education."

While new tools are being made everyday most of them are just calling ChatGPT to perform the magic behind a slick UI. Don't be fooled by tools that you can easily create for yourself with careful prompting. However some of these are just cool and fun to use.

In No Particular Order:

  • AI Tools in Teaching and Learning - This article from the Center for Teaching and Learning offers guidance on understanding how AI tools can impact teaching and learning.

  • There’s an AI For That - A curated list of over 1800 AI tools. One of my favourites...Should probably move this to the top of the list!

  • TutorAI: Learn Anything - This website offers an adaptive AI tutoring system that personalizes the learning experience to fit each individual’s needs and learning style. More interesting than the tool itself is learning about how it works: check out the Author's Twitter to see the 7 different prompts involved in creating the chatbot. Very informative.
  • Mask My Prompt - This website provides a tool to mask prompts for AI. Useful for quickly removing sensitive information before sending to AI like ChatGPT...However you should probably still manually remove any sensitive data regarding your students - this tool could still be a good double check.
  • AI Educator Tools - An extensive list of tools curated by The AI Educator team and the community through tool submissions, with the assistance of Google Bard.
